Welcome to the Adult Entertainers Support Network, SWOP-Las Vegas
SWOP-Las Vegas is a local grassroots organization led by current and former adult entertainers or sex workers — including brothel workers, prostitutes, professional dominants, porn performers, erotic dancers, webcam models, and sex educators — and academic and activist allies. It operates as a 501(c)3 non-profit under the national organization, SWOP-USA. SWOP, at its most basic, is an anti-violence campaign.
Sex work is real work
Carol Leigh aka Scarlot Harlot coined the term “sex work” in the late 1970’s to refer to any service industry job where sex, the illusion of sex, or eroticism is provided in exchange for goods, services, or money. We understand and respect that people who work in the business sometimes prefer other terms, such as adult entertainer or erotic service provider. Being an adult entertainer can be lonely, alienating work, especially due to widespread social stigma, precarious laws, and discrimination.

We give back by supporting and standing in solidarity with other marginalized and stigmatized groups.
