About Project Red Umbrella
Project Red Umbrella is a broad coalition of social justice organizations and community members concerned with the true impact of 2013 Nevada Sex Trafficking Bill, AB67 on civil, labor and human rights. While the proposed legislation is being sold to the public as a way to stop the horrific act of child sex slavery, the language in the 39-page bill paints a much wider picture of who it would criminalize and who it would benefit.
We are adamantly opposed to human exploitation of any form and advocate for real evidence-based solutions that empower actual and potential victims of sexual and labor exploitation. The policy underlying AB67 was created outside the affected populations. If you really care about sex trafficking victims, please help us send AB67 back to the drawing board in favor of real solutions.
