About Persist Health Project
Persist provides health care referrals, health education, harm reduction and supportive counseling, herbal health services, peer support, job assistance, and leadership development for women, men, and gender non-conforming people involved with and/or impacted by the sex trade.

Persist is a peer-led, community-based project based on Brooklyn, New York. We provide health and support services, as well as community organizing and leadership opportunities for people in the NYC sex trade. We are by and for sex workers, trafficking survivors, and anyone who has traded sex for money, food, drugs, or other resources.
We believe in bridging the gaps in health and social services for people like us by fighting coercion and violence against people in the sex trade, while building better spaces to get safe, affirming, and affordable health and social services.
We are a membership-based organization; our campaigns and advocacy work are guided by the desires and vision of our membership.
